Bower Lane, the lush new fashion and lifestyle precinct in Stones Corner, is making it easy for designers to open their first store.
Located right next to the perennially popular Shady Palms Cafe & Bar at the Greenslopes end of Logan Road, Bower Lane is a new fashion hub in Stones Corner where local designers can meet, mingle, collaborate and make in the same space they showcase their collections and sell their garments.
The new precinct offers designers who run online businesses the chance to establish a real-world presence by moving into boutique spaces of various sizes and fit-outs in an in-demand retail precinct.
Seymour Group, the developers behind the chic new precinct, have cut out the hassle that usually comes with opening a store so new tenants can move in and start trading straight away.
“We’re making it as easy as possible for designers and retailers who run online businesses to open a physical location,” explains Scott Blakeway of Seymour Group.
“Opening a retail store usually means locking into a long-term lease, paying outgoings and completing an expensive fit-out. At Bower Lane, the major fit-out works are taken care of, and you can come straight in and pay one all-inclusive monthly rate that includes your internet connection, phone line, electricity, air conditioning, and parking space. We’re simplifying the whole process.”
Already home to Xtend Barre Studio, café 63, City Cave float tanks, and more than 300 workers across 90 businesses in the adjoining Bower Serviced Office Centre, the precinct is playing a major role in the return of Stones Corner to its rightful place as one of Brisbane’s best high street shopping strips.
“We’re creating a precinct that’s much more accessible to local designers and up-and-comers,” Blakeway says.
The precinct welcomed a bunch of Brisbane designers for a month-long pop up to celebrate the launch its launch in November. Now the call-out for Bower Lane tenants is on, and it’s a case of first in, best dressed.
