Brisbane Fashion Month is back for 2019, bringing a packed program of fashion and entertainment to the city from 1 October. The month-long event is Queensland’s largest showcase of local designers and your chance to familiarise yourself with the city’s home-grown fashion labels – featuring resort wear, activewear, sleepwear and everything in between. Get out your calendars, this is the Britt’s List edit to the runway shows, pop-up stores, walking tours and other events you must attend during Brisbane Fashion Month.

BFM Wintergarden Designer Pop Ups – 7-12 & 20-26 October

Wintergarden is once again providing a shop space to feature Brisbane brands during the city’s biggest fashion event. You’ll find Fashion Paradisso in there from 7-12 October and the lovely Sista & Co from 20-26 October.

West Village Designer Pop Ups – 5, 12, 19 and 26 October

West Village in West End has cemented itself as a supporter of arts and fashion and is continuing that theme with its participating in Brisbane Fashion Month. The space will be hosting a number of pop up shops over the month, featuring one local designer for each one. Check out Robe (luxury resort wear) on Saturday 5 October, Jericho Road on Saturday 12 October, Solito on Saturday 19 October, and Styling You on Saturday 26 October.

Britt’s List Sustainable Fashion Walking Tour – 5 October

Discover ethical brands and learn about sustainable fashion on this small-group walking tour in Brisbane led by Britt’s List founder and editor Brittanie Dreghorn. Over 3 hours, you will learn about sustainable fashion while being introduced to ethical and locally made brands alongside like-minded people. This tour is sponsored by West Village which is donating gift bags packed with goodies. Brisbane Icons: Boutique and Bespoke presented by Brisbane Quarter – 10 October

Brisbane Icons celebrates the designers offering bespoke and unique offering, against the backdrop of iconic Brisbane Quarter. Connect with industry, peers, sponsors and partners of Brisbane Fashion Month at this special event with designers and fashion lovers staged at Brisbane Quarter. Tickets include a two-hour food and beverage package. Featured designers include Article, Astille with Helena Rose, Isabella Longginou, Lindsay Ridings, Living Silk, Lucia Josephine, Sonia Stradiotto Couture, Tengdahl, Toscano, Wil Valor and Wintergarden retailers. BFM Moët High Tea presented by Treasury Brisbane – 20 October

Brisbane Fashion Month and Moët & Chandon set up shop in Treasury Brisbane’s epic Hotel Courtyard to celebrate world-class local fashion and Moët Impérial’s 150th anniversary paired with a bespoke supper high tea designed for this event. Attendees will be treated to a glass of Moët Impérial 150th Anniversary on arrival and indulge in towers of hand-crafted savoury treats, dinner miniatures and petite fours as a stunning BFM show featuring some of Brisbane’s most notable designers roams through one of the city’s most breathtaking spaces. Featured designers include Christina Kim | Bespoke Womenswear, Felicity Boevink Millinery, Isabella Longginou Label, LJC., Tengdahl and White Label Noba. Find out more and book here.

Queen Street Mall Parades – 25 October

Queen Street Mall is the place to be on Friday 25 October, when Brisbane Fashion Month takes over the space for back-to-back runway shows starting at 4.30pm and running into the night. Kicking off the festivities is the Emerging Designer Showcase at 4.30pm. Next up is the BFM Tween Fashion Show at 5pm. The Slow Fashion Runway is on at 5.30pm (do 👏 not 👏 miss). And the Wintergarden Fashion Show at 7pm.

Resort Finale presented by West Village – 30 October

Resort Finale is Brisbane Fashion Month’s night of nights, a “quintessential evening of resort glamour and high-end designer fashion as only Queensland knows how.” Resort wear is what Brisbane and Queensland is known for and with good reason. Expect to see a stunning array of lifestyle, leisure and occasionwear from some of our best known and loved brands. Designers you’ll see here include Annalisse Designs, Anannasa, Boom Shankar, d+k, Jericho Road, Robe, Sacha Drake, Sleepy Dee, Solito, Styling You, Une Piece and Wintergarden retailers.
